Individual and Group Analytic Psychotherapy in Cardiff

Crossing the threshold and choosing to engage in personal psychotherapy is not always easy. It can evoke many different feelings and thoughts; there may be part of you that believes you should be able to work things out and work through your personal struggles on your own. However, at times we need support and having a reflective space to explore and talk confidentiality about what is troubling and concerning you, whether in individual therapy or group therapy, can be helpful. Choosing to have personal therapy will for many be a new experience and involve you making certain arrangements and commitments.

Initial Consultation

Before committing to therapy, I will invite you to an initial fifty minute consultation. This will be an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and share what is troubling you. Together, we can think about whether you are comfortable working with me and my approach, if so, we will agree a way forward. Currently I have spaces for those seeking individual therapy. Sessions are for 50 minutes and take place once weekly, at the same time each week.

I charge £65 for the initial consultation and for subsequent individual therapy sessions.

Currently I have no group spaces. I am planning to start a new in-person group during the spring of 2026.

Reflective Practice

I can provide a confidential and boundaried space for teams to reflect upon and process their client work and have the opportunity to think about the dynamics within their teams and their relationship to the wider system.

I have supported nursing teams, support workers, psychologists and counsellors in their reflective practice.

I consider it is intrinsic for staff teams to have support and a space to think and reflect together about their work and the wider system/organisation in which they function. If you would like to find out more, please contact me for further information and charges.
