About Me
I am a qualified Group Analytic Psychotherapist registered to the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Music Therapist. I have been working therapeutically for over twenty-four years. As a qualified Music Therapist, my experience has included working in schools, hospice care and NHS adult mental health and learning disability services. I am experienced in joint-arts modality work, having co-facilitated short and long-term groups with Dramatherapists and Art Therapists.
In more recent years, having completed further training as a Group Analytic Psychotherapist, my experience has encompassed working with adults and older people with complex mental health needs within NHS settings, providing individual and group psychotherapy. Alongside this, I have conducted reflective practice groups for staff teams.
I value the power of music when working therapeutically, whilst also recognising the need for speech and putting our experiences into words.
I have worked with all kinds of people, this includes those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, stress, living with cancer, work-burnout, bereavement and loss.
I now work independently as a Psychotherapist offering individual and group therapy and reflective practice. I am a member of Group Analysis South West (GASW) and Group Analytic Society International (GASI).
