About Me

I have been working therapeutically for over 25 years. I initially trained as a Music Therapist (HCPC registered) working mainly within NHS adult mental health and learning disability services, supporting those living with complex mental health needs. This involved providing individual and group music therapy, clinical supervision and reflective practice to staff teams.

In more recent years, having completed further training in group analysis, I now work as a Group Analyst (UKCP registered - Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College /CPJAC). My experience has encompassed delivering individual and group psychotherapy to adults and older adults within NHS mental health settings, alongside facilitating reflective practice groups for staff teams (e.g. psychologists and nursing). I now work in private practice as a Psychotherapist/Group Analyst offering individual therapy, group therapy and reflective practice groups for staff teams within organisations.

I am interested in the relationship between the wider-social, the political and the personal, and the different ways these connect, and influence our sense of self, our values and beliefs. With my background in music therapy and musical improvisation, I am fascinated in the interplay between verbal and non-verbal processes and putting our experiences into words and/or music.

I have worked with all kinds of people, this includes those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, work-burnout, bereavement and loss. I have an interest in working with those who may be experiencing 'blocks' in their creativity.

 I am a full member of Group Analysis South West (GASW).
