Individual Psychotherapy and Group Analysis/Psychotherapy in Cardiff
Crossing the threshold and choosing to engage in personal psychotherapy is not always easy. It can evoke many different feelings and thoughts; there may be part of you that believes you should be able to work things out and work through your personal struggles on your own.
However, at times we need support and having a reflective space to explore and talk confidentiality about what is troubling and concerning you, whether in individual therapy or group therapy, can be helpful.
Choosing to have personal therapy will for many be a new experience and involve you making certain arrangements and commitments.
Individual Psychotherapy: Initial Consultation
Before committing to therapy, I will invite you to an initial fifty minute consultation. This will be an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and share what is troubling you. Together, we can think about whether you are comfortable working with me and my approach, if so, we will agree a way forward. Should we agree to work together, sessions will take place once weekly, at the same time each week. Individual sessions last 50 minutes.
Fees
Initial consultation for individual psychotherapy: £65

Group Psychotherapy - Commencing early 2027
I am setting up a weekly psychotherapy group which is commencing early next year. Up to eight members will be in the group including myself as group psychotherapist. The group will run on Tuesdays in central Cardiff, the timing of the group is to be confirmed.
Currently I am seeking prospective new members who are able to commit to a regular weekly group. The group is open to men and women seeking to deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationship to others. In group analytic psychotherapy, the therapy happens in the group as each member develops and deepens their relationship to the group-as-whole and to each member.
Prior to joining, I invite those who are interested to meet for an individual consultation. At this fifty minute meeting we will explore your personal experiences and needs. We will think about you and joining the group, and whether group therapy suits your current needs. You will have space to ask any questions you may have.
Please get in touch if you require further information and interested to join.
